Are their bags packed? Doesn’t look like it… Scores of celebrities, from Miley Cyrus, Amy Schumer, Samuel L Jackson, Lena Dunham, Cher, Whoopi Goldberg, Raven Simone, Bryan Cranston, Eddie Griffin, Barbra Streisand, Keegan-Michael Key, Chelsea Handler to Ne-Yo… all pledged that they will move to Canada and other countries if Donald Trump becomes the next U.S president. And the best part? People are holding them to it, the horde of Hollywood Hillary Clinton fans who threatened to leave if Trump got elected are being mocked on Twitter. Since Clinton’s crushing defeat, the vocal Hillary supporters have been silent about their future travel plans. Now Trump supporters have begun trolling the celebrities on Twitter, demanding to know when they are leaving.Miley Cyrus who had an absolute melt down on her twitter feed, which was hilarious because even with her liberal tears calling Trump a “f*cking nightmare” and saying she would move to Canada- the comment section underneath her tweet was anything but sympathetic and was filled with hilarious mocking memes…
Lena Dunham’s and Raven-Symone were to pack their bags to Canada too, so much for that. Ne-Yo told TMZ before the election, “Me and Drake gonna be neighbors (in Canada) if Donald Trump becomes president,” but now he’s saying, “I love how all these trump supporters are on my time line suddenly. Think I’ll stick around just to piss em’ all off.”
Whoopi Goldberg, who also vowed to leave the U.S, took it back and explained she’s going stay and fight instead- “My family spent years trying to get the vote and trying to do all the things that we as Americans are allowed to do. We’re allowed to protest. We’re allowed to stand up and say we disagree. You don’t get to tell me that I’m going. You don’t get to make that decision for me. I’m staying.”
Chelsea Handler originally said that she even bought a house in another country just in case, and took it a step further by saying, “So all these people that threaten to leave the country and then don’t — I actually will leave that country.” Well, now she’s not. “Yesterday, my staff reminded me that platforms and voices like mine are needed more than ever; leaving the country is quitting,” she tweeted.Donald Trump on the other hand, says he will be doing a great service to America by getting some of these celebs out of the states.
