President Donald Trump continues to share his disdain for Hollywood, and went after Madonna big time. He made it clear he is not a fan of the Material Girl, or the material she spilled out during the Washington D.C. Women’s March. Speaking to Fox News, Trump, of course, had some thoughts about those recent dark comments made by the iconic pop-star and did not hold back…
“Honestly, she’s disgusting. I think she hurt herself very badly. I think she hurt that whole cause,” said Trump.Responding to the singer’s speech during the Women’s March where she proclaimed that she has thought an awful lot about “blowing up the White House”, Trump continued: “I thought her, and a couple of others. But I thought she was in particular — I thought what she said was disgraceful to our country.”
Madonna has since then drawn heavy criticism for the remarks, including a jab from White House Chief of Staff and Secret Service investigations. Newt Gingrich condemned the singer as being part of “emerging left-wing fascism” and noted she “ought to be arrested”. Other than many deeming her speech over the top and controversial, people are pointing out that Madonna should in fact face the same charges as anybody else that would be making threats towards the white house/or any other federal building- which is a felony charge.
Trump’s wrath wasn’t solely reserved for the stars. The president also blasted Saturday Night Live, which for months has made him the subject and ridicule of its sketches, starring Alec Baldwin- whom the president said he wasn’t just unfunny but a ‘disaster’. ‘He’s terrible on the show,’ he said.
He also called them a ‘disgrace’ after comments made about his 10-year-old son Barron being the that Barron would become America’s ‘first homeschool shooter’.
The writer has since apologized, and been suspended by the show.
