Harambee stars Coach Stanley Okumbi names a squad of 25 players ahead of November matches against Mozambique and Liberia.
Tusker forward Allan Wanga who has been impressive since returning in the second leg of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) has been recalled to the national team.
He has scored four goals in 12 league matches. He also scored as Tusker beat Ulinzi Stars 1-0 to lift the GOtv shield on October 20.
Stars are scheduled to host Mozambique and Liberia on November 12 and 15 respectively. Notable inclusion in the squad are Tusker FC striker Allan Wanga, who returns to the team after a stellar display with the Brewers since July and Posta Rangers keeper Patrick Matasi.
Others are Vihiga United defender Bernard Ochieng’, Nzoia Sugar midfielder Lawrence Juma, Palos FC midfielder Morven Otinya and midfielder Michael Misigo (Vihiga United).
Stars are preparing for upcoming Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup to be held in Kenya. The team’s involvement in high profile build-ups has seen them move six places up in the latest Fifa rankings released on October 20.
